At the foot of Uludağ, in the gardens above Bursa, silk has been made the same way for generations. Mulberry trees in quiet rows. Work that keeps the pace of the season rather than the week.

A cocoon is not the beginning. It is what remains once its work is done, already empty, already whole. Nothing is taken early. No heat, no chemistry, no correction. What reaches your hands is exactly what was left in the branches.
We do not believe perfection means everything looking the same. A small mark left by a craftsman's hand. The grain unique to one piece of walnut. A cocoon shaped slightly differently from the next. None of this is a flaw. It is proof that the object has a story.
It is smaller than you expect, and lighter. Dry, the edge is rough, almost like paper. Held under warm water it changes: the fibres loosen, the shell softens, and it settles against the fingertip.
We do not think luxury means having more. For us it means less, and more meaningful. Feeling the texture of a natural material. Knowing where something came from. Remembering the hand that made it. LUSSOIE does not raise its voice. It speaks quietly.
Warm water in a walnut bowl. A few minutes that belong to no one else. Small, slow circles across the face, without pressing. Nothing to time, nothing to finish. Afterwards you set it out to dry, and it waits for tomorrow.
Cocoons in a raw silk pouch. A woven silk cloth. A bowl carved by hand from walnut. A small glass vial of wild rose buds from Isparta, Turkey's rose capital. Objects meant to be kept, not used up.
